Fitness is Self-Love in Motion
Training can be vulnerable, which is why I only feel it’s fair to be as personal and vulnerable with you. My experiences are not unlike my clients. I found physical fitness to be grounding and healing, so I strive to have my story and newfound perspective woven into my training.
Where It All Began
For a long time, I found myself trapped in unhealthy patterns—both mentally and physically—that left me feeling disconnected from my body and my sense of purpose.
Like many, my fitness journey started with a desire to lose weight and feel more confident in my appearance. I believed that changing how I looked would give me the confidence I craved. As it turns out, you can lose all the weight in the world, but if you still don’t love yourself…none of that will matter. As I ventured deeper into strength training, I discovered that true confidence wasn’t something external—it had to come from within. As I worked on my physical strength, I found myself reconnecting with my body in a much deeper, more meaningful way, sparking a profound shift in how I viewed exercise and self-care.
What I’ve Gained Through Movement
Strength training became the key to my healing. It didn’t just make me stronger physically—it transformed my mindset, teaching me resilience, discipline, and self-compassion. I learned to appreciate my body for what it could do rather than how it looked, and that change allowed me to cultivate a healthier, more loving relationship with myself. Exercise became more than just a tool for physical health; it became an outlet for healing my mind, body, and spirit. This journey not only rebuilt my physical strength but also helped me find a sense of purpose, self-acceptance, and inner strength that I had been missing.
Now, through BodySense, I use what I’ve learned to help others shift their own perspective on fitness and exercise.
My approach is centered around strength training, but my focus goes beyond physical results. I’m here to help you rewrite old stories about dieting and exercise, and to help you build a relationship with movement that’s empowering and sustainable. My mission is to guide you toward finding confidence from within while cultivating physical strength and resilience. I create personalized, science-backed fitness programs that meet your individual needs, whether your goal is to build muscle, improve mobility, or simply feel more at home in your body – aka, build your bodysense.
